In Vietnam, many businesses continue to face significant challenges in processing large volumes of unstructured documents — such as paper files, handwritten forms, invoices, and vouchers. These tasks are typically manual, repetitive, and low in value, yet highly prone to errors, leading to increased operating costs and reduced overall efficiency.

GreenNode IDP (Intelligent Document Processing) is a solution developed in-house by GreenNode to address this challenge. Unlike traditional OCR technologies that merely convert images into plain text, GreenNode IDP integrates three core technologies — OCR, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs). This enables the system not only to recognize characters but also to understand semantic context, accurately extract and validate information, and automatically classify documents. As a result, the solution can efficiently handle a wide range of business-critical documents, reducing data entry errors, shortening processing times, and optimizing operational costs.

GreenNode IDP has been successfully implemented at a major bank with over 13,000 employees. The system now processes more than 200 types of documents, including 6,000+ VAT invoices, 300,000+ sales orders, and 2,000+ fund transfer forms. It automates over 70% of total document volume — particularly in key operations such as loan processing and account opening — saving over 2,000 working days annually and cutting document processing time by up to two-thirds.

Beyond banking, GreenNode IDP is also trusted by leading enterprises in insurance, retail, logistics, and supply chain sectors.
